For the second year in a row, this important highway safety campaign was focused on stopping speeding drivers and reducing speed related crashes in the state. Currently speed is listed as a contributing factor in 18% of the state's 83 fatal crashes which have occurred since January 1st. When the campaign began on July 6th, speed was a factor in 30% of the state's fatal crashes...</description>

The $5.5-million project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), and will provide for the expansion of the transit center, along with other cost-saving benefits. Construction will include a six-bay maintenance facility, shop areas, support spaces, a training library, mechanic locker room and a worker lounge area. </description>
